Kevan O'Banion

Kevan first began preaching in 1977 for the church in Luling, Texas while he was going to college in San Marcos. After graduating with a degree in Biology in 1979  Kevan began the preacher training program under Robert F. Turner and Dan Shipley at the Oaks-West Church of Christ in Burnet, Texas in 1979.  He married Lori Goddard in 1979 and they have been blessed with two sons - Phillip and Timothy - and five grandchildren.

Kevan and Lori moved to Stephenville, Texas in 1981. For the next 19 years, Kevan preached for the Westside Church of Christ and also taught Biology at Tarleton State University, as well as the AP and dual-credit Biology courses at Stephenville High School. After their youngest son graduated from high school, he retired from teaching to dedicate all of his time to preaching the gospel at the Wylie Church of Christ in Abilene, Texas  from 2000 - 2007. In the summer of 2007, Kevan and Lori moved to Lubbock and he began working with the Kings Ridge church.  Kevan has done gospel work in Nigeria and currently makes trips to Peru to work with the churches there.

Lance Bowman

Lance was born here in Lubbock on January 11, 1968. He graduated from Coronado High School in 1986 and spent a semester at Florida College before returning to Texas Tech to finish a degree in Agricultural Economics.

Lance married Shelly Townsend in 1994 and they have been blessed with two boys - Ryan and Matt. Lance has worked in the financial industry since 1987, but his number one priority has always been to serve the Lord. He served as a deacon for a number of years for this congregation prior to promotions which sent him to East Texas and Abilene. While in Abilene, Lance again served as one of the deacons at the Wylie church of Christ (where Kevan was preaching). When he returned to Lubbock in 2003, he was soon serving as a deacon for the second time here at Kings Ridge.

Lance has a gift for teaching and relating to people. For many years, he has had the desire to spend more time making an eternal difference in people's lives. The Kings Ridge church is blessed to have a man like Lance to help with the preaching responsibilities.
